A Goal Programming Approach for Resource Allocation Considering Client Demands in a Multiuser OFDMA Downlink System

چکیده
This study investigates subcarrier and power allocation schemes in an OFDMA downlink system. To consider client demands, a goal programming approach is proposed. The proposed algorithm minimizes the weighted sum of each client’s dissatisfaction index. Simulations show that the sum of dissatisfaction indices can be reduced significantly. key words: OFMDA, downlink, subcarrier and power allocation, goal programming

Centralized versus decentralized multi-cell resource and power allocation for multiuser OFDMA networks
The exponential growth in the usage of mobile networks along with the increasing number of User Equipments (UEs) are exacerbating the scarcity of frequency resources. Dense frequency reuse on the downlink of multiuser Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access networks leads to severe Inter-Cell Interference (ICI) problems. Resource and power allocation techniques are required to alleviate t...
متن کاملDownlink Radio Resource Allocation Scheme for Ofdma Cellular Network
This paper presents radio resource allocation scheme to maximize ergodic rates for OFDMA cellular network .Purpose behind this is to improve multiuser diversity. Objective of this paper is to improve multiuser diversity along with maximum ergodic rates.SNR is considered to maximize erotic rates, along with that packet size is also considered. In this paper an algorithm is proposed in which crit...
متن کاملImpact of CSI on Radio Resource Management Techniques for the OFDMA downlink
Adaptive resource allocation can drastically increase the throughput of an Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access (OFDMA) system when the Channel State Information (CSI) is accurately known. Unfortunately, in practice, perfect CSI is rarely possible. In this paper, we consider adaptive subcarrier assignment for downlink multiuser OFDMA systems, where the transmitter has no knowledge of t...
متن کاملSecurity-Aware Max-Min Resource Allocation in Multiuser OFDMA Downlink
In this paper, we study the problem of resource allocation for a multiuser orthogonal frequency-division multiple access (OFDMA) downlink with eavesdropping. The considered setup consists of a base station, several users and a single eavesdropper that intends to wiretap the transmitted message within each OFDMA subchannel. By taking into consideration the existence of the eavesdropper, the base...
متن کاملCross-layer Resource Allocation for Multi-user Communication Systems a Dissertation Submitted to the Department of Electrical Engineering and the Committee on Graduate Studies of Stanford University in Partial Fulfillment of the Requirements for the Degree of Doctor of Philosophy
Satisfaction of different QoS demands for various broadband services in wireless networks requires that multi-user packet scheduling intelligently use both channel state information (CSI) and queue state information (QSI). A combination of queuechannel-aware scheduling and power/rate allocation on each transmit dimension is known as “cross-layer resource allocation”. This thesis investigates va...
